Our journey towards sustainability has been a rewarding challenge, incorporating innovative practices to reduce our ecological footprint while delivering top-notch events ranging from ice rinks to large festivals, sporting events and much more in between.  Through the implementation of energy-efficient lighting, recycling water used in the ice-making process, and adopting a paperless ticketing system, we've made significant strides in reducing waste and conserving energy.

The Gold Award from Visit Portsmouth's Green Tourism Awards recognises S3K's efforts in fostering a greener, healthier community. Key initiatives that contributed to our win include:

Renewable energy use:

• Leveraging renewable energy sources to power our events, significantly reducing our carbon emissions.

Sustainable transportation:

• Encouraging our staff and attendees to use sustainable modes of transport and car pool - a move that has lessened traffic congestion and minimised our events' carbon footprint.

Community engagement:

• Our engagement with local communities and underprivileged groups, providing opportunities to participate in our events, embodies our socially responsible ethos. We've also supported local businesses by sourcing supplies and services locally, boosting the local economy while reducing transportation emissions.

Waste reduction initiatives:

• Our focused efforts on recycling, using recycled materials for set dressing, and implementing a water recycling system at our ice rinks showcase our commitment to the 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' philosophy.
